Private Pilot Licence (PPL) course is a modular course arranged to fulfill the needs of the flying-lovers who are not aiming to become commercial air transport pilots. The privilege of the holders of PPL is to act as a pilot of non-revenue flights.
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have completed/ Be completing high school (M6) or its equivalent levels
• Obtain at least a Medical Assessment Class 2
Approximately 12 weeks
The successful graduate will be:
• Awarded the Private Pilot Licence Certificate from Asia Aviation Academy.
• Entitled to apply for Private Pilot Licence from the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT).
• Ground Training: 90 hours
• Flight Training: 40 hours
This modular course is for the holders of PPL or CPL (without IR rating) who wants to enhance himself/herself to be able to fly in all weather conditions. The privilege of the holders of IR shall be to pilot an aircraft under instrument flight rule.
Hold PPL or CPL
Approximately 18 weeks
The successful graduate will be:
• Awarded the Instrument Rating Certificate from Asia Aviation Academy.
• Entitled to apply for Instrument Rating from the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT).
• Ground Training: 24 hours
• Flight Training: 15 hours
This modular course is for the holders of PPL or CPL (without ME rating) who wants to enhance himself/herself to be able to fly multi-engine aircrafts.
Hold PPL or CPL
Approximately 6 weeks
The successful graduate will be
• Awarded the Multi-engine Rating Certificate from Asia Aviation Academy.
• Entitled to apply for Multi-engine Rating from the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT).
• Ground Training: 294 hours
• Flight Training: 150 hours
CPL/IR/ME is an integrated course for applicants who are aiming to become commercial air transport pilots. They will be provided with ground and flight training of international standards and quality. The privileges of the holders of CPL is to act as a pilot of commercial air transport.
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have completed/ Be completing high school (M6) or its equivalent levels
• Obtain a Medical Assessment Class 1
The successful graduate will be
• Awarded the Commercial Pilot Licence from Asia Aviation Academy.
• Entitled to apply for Commercial Pilot Licence from the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT).
• Ground Training: 67 hours
• Flight Training: 20 hours
This modular course is for the holder of CPL who wants to become a flight instructor. The privileges of the holder of FI rating shall be to carry out flight instruction for the issue of a private pilot licence and a commercial pilot licence.
Hold CPL
Approximately 9 weeks
The successful graduate will be:
• Awarded the Flight Instructor Rating Certificate from Asia Aviation Academy.
• Entitled to apply for Flight Instructor Rating from the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT).
AAA provides aircraft services for the holders of PPL or CPL to maintain his/her licence recency experience as required by the licence authority.

Asia Aviation Academy has partnered with King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) launching the Aeronautical Engineering and Commercial Pilot programme for the first time in Thailand. The programme offers three years of aeronautical engineering at KMITL and flight training for their 4th year with us. Graduated students will be entitled to Bachelor of Engineering in Aeronautical Engineering and Commercial Pilot as well as qualified to apply for Commercial Pilot Licence with the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand.
